After successful sell-outs at The Belgrave and Halifax that took place in December, there is no doubt that there is going to be an abundance of buzz and excitement when their next performance will take place at the legendary City Varieties Music Hall, residing in the centre of the City!

Let There Be House includes an enthralling 10-piece band that takes us on a journey filled with 90s vocal-house odyssey, belting out the most iconic club anthems and masterpieces that would make anyone have a boogie (or two!). 

To top it up, a very special guest DJ joins the stage of the Music Hall, the City’s beloved Brandon Block.

Embodying the spirit of Friday nights, Let There Be House is intrinsically connected to the iconic Up Your Ronson club night that dominated Leeds during the early 90s. 

The creative mastermind behind Tony Hannan teams up with the renowned Leeds bass player Hamlet Luton as the creative directors for this extraordinary live event and ready to take you through a whirlwind of nostalgia and euphoria. With a dance music pedigree of this calibre, missing this event would be a regrettable oversight!

The anticipation circulated through the Hall, electrifying the eager crowd flocking to the venue. Excited conversations and laughter merged with the clinking of cups as people savoured their beverages and captured memories with selfies, their smiles beaming through the lens. 

DJ Brandon Block overtaking the stage in the beginning as people were entering the venue, a tidal wave of pulsating rhythms washing over everybody as they step through the door, igniting their spirits and activating their dancing shoes. This exceptional start wove through an enchanting spell of music through every foot, generating an unforgettable experience whose powerful beginnings promised an even more magical night ahead. 

The stage afterwards was ruled with the eclectic ensemble that was the band. A symphony of instruments melded together, painting an exciting tapestry of sound that encouraged the audience to jump off their seats and become a ball of leaping energy. Waves of cheers and rhythmic gyrations reverberated through the crowd as the melodic interplay of piano, strings, brass, percussion, and guitar coalesced in perfect harmony. Dazzling lights pierced the air, illuminating the euphoric faces of the revellers, whilst the thumping bass lines and drums drove the crowd into a frenzy of uninhibited dance.

As the band’s electrifying performance reached new heights, the stage welcomed guest singers Rachel Modest and two incredible women Jackie Walters and Sofia Samantha, adding an extra layer of magic to the night. Dressed in shimmering outfits, their powerful voices soared through the venue, mesmerising the crowd (Me included!). 

Roars of applause echoed like thunder, whilst their heartfelt connection with the audience sent waves of pure ecstasy rippling through the sea of swaying bodies. The synergy between the instruments and the harmonious vocals was sheer perfection, leaving everyone utterly captivated and immersed in the enchanting musical journey. As the last note faded into the night for the singers, the resounding applause filled the hall, as testament to their appetising performance that had woven its way into the hearts of all who were present. 

The next act was exceptional guest singer Sulene Fleming, a Soul Funk and House artist hailing from the United Kingdom. Her multifaceted career, boasting an impressive repertoire of solo and featured releases, as well as numerous band collaborations, she was going to dazzle the crowd as soon as she stepped onto the stage.

With a single note, Sulene’s powerful vocals instantly drew the audience in. Her commanding presence filled the air, charging the atmosphere with an energy that sent shivers down the spine of every listener. As the singer continued to deliver the awe-inspiring performance, the crowd became one with the rhythm, cheers and applauds coming in all directions.

Through the lens of every camera and smartphone capturing the magic of the night, it was evident that Sulene and the Band’s performance was nothing short of perfection. As the final notes of her sublime song faded, the room erupted in thunderous applause. It was crystal clear that Sulene’s performance was a resounding 10/10. The adoration of the audience, their faces awash with wonder and amazement, served as proof to her talent and the spellbinding experience she had just shared with them!
